Studied in Central Philippine University when I was in Kindergarten and Elementary School. It is one ofthe oldest schools in Iloilo. It was founded by American missionaries in 1905. It was only in the 1960s when control of the unversity was turned over to Filipinos. I remember that we also had an English only policy when I was studying in CPU in the 1980s. There are also a number of foreighn students in CPU. I had a few classmates who were children of American missionaries. Sometimes you would catch some foreign students playing crickett in one of the football fields.
