I got some news about meralco electrical distribution grid realiability in my neighborhood. Recently and finally my house is on the meralco permanent connection , finnaly the contractor who develop this subdivision paid in cash for the transmission poles, Meralcol after a week of installing and planting those poles, My house was transfer to the their main lines. I had to dismantle my temporary connection completly after Meralco transfer us.

 My Wife and I were reviewing our Meralco meter permanent connection paper work, We came across some interesting data: According to the contract of our meter connection, the Load is suppose to be 3,000 kw. voltage 1,700, 230V, phase-1Ph, 5w. w/neutral. the rate is r6(residential custom).

 For what I understand the load is the maximun your house could use.

Our current Voltage is not stable at all,It is between 900 and 1100. the frequency is crazy according to my multimeter, it flucutates between 220 and 239.

Is this is normal or is just the output per transformer varies according to the load demand from each house connected to it?

I'm open for suggestion.

Good to hear you guys are ok. I was concerned when it looked like you forgot to renew the domain.

My parents were born there, moved to Manila, had me and my brothers and moved to the US. They too are retired and split their time between there and here. I've had a chance to visit them and look forward to bringing my family for the first time this summer.

I've enjoyed reading your posts regarding Iloilo and how you ended up there. Do you really want to maintain 2 domains? I thought you were retired? Regardless, I look forward to reading your posts on life in Iloilo.

Best Regards,

Bob and Carol;

As an American married to a Filipina (who's from Iloilo) for 30+ years, I've enjoyed reading the content of your website as it relates to Life in Philippines as an Ex-Pat and also your home building experience. You pretty much tell it like is without a bias towards Philippines or US, which I find very informative.
In my humble opinion, I like your concept of splitting the website into the 2 categories. I learned a lot from your home building experience and wish to learn more, plus you've given very useful infomation about living in Iloilo.
Look forward to the continuation of your website.

As an oldie on the cusp of retirement and annual snow bird to Iloilo,I have found your website very helpful,informative and entertaining.I think your plan for splitting the content will be good for visitors but keep you very busy with increased visitor traffic wanting more& more information.Nevertheless that will be good for the visitor like me who really enjoys your views & experiences and not least the super photographs that make the subjects come alive.I look forward to the launch,best wishes,
